PROLENE™ Monofilament Suture, Size 2-0, 30", Blue, with KS needle, is a sterile, nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of an isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene. It is intended for use in general soft tissue approximation and ligation across various surgical specialties, including cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological procedures.

PROLENE™ maintains its tensile strength indefinitely within the body, providing consistent mechanical support over time. It is not absorbed or degraded, offering permanent closure for long-term surgical applications. This durability is beneficial in vascular and nerve repair, as well as prosthetic fixation where prolonged reinforcement is necessary.

The suture is dyed bright blue for enhanced visibility against tissue, improving placement accuracy and simplifying postoperative removal. The KS needle features a conventional cutting tip, ideal for penetrating dense or fibrous tissue such as skin. This configuration ensures reliable handling, control, and knot security in both surface and deeper closures.
